Sledding at Valley Forge

Here's something that you should know about Milt. He doesn't do anything half-way. Ever. So when he decided to take the kids sledding here in PA, we had to find the perfect place to sled. And we pretty much found it. Valley Forge is perfect for sledding and there are TONS of areas that have big hills to sled down. But having said that, Milt decided to choose the biggest, steepest hill with the furthest walk from any available parking. And yes, I reminded him that McKinley and Kennedy aren't exactly 14 year old boys (which were the only other crazy people sledding down this area), but he wanted the best, and so he got it.

So of course the girls started freaking out when they saw the other kids going down, and Milt consented that maybe sledding down from the MIDDLE of the hill would be good enough for them. The girls LOVED it (Maddox was home sick with my parents, who were visiting), and Kennedy even learned to like it as long as her gloves stayed on (she got VERY grouchy when one would fall off!) We had a great and very very cold time, followed by some yummy Zwahlen's hot chocolate, which was perfect! Here are some of the pictures:

Here's a small panoramic shot of the area...it was beautiful!

McKinley LOVES sledding!

Milt with his girls

This is Kennedy getting really thrilled with me because her glove had come off again. She is getting quite expressive.

And of course it was too far for Kennedy to walk back!

Here's the proof that I was there! It was so cold!

And here's a little snippet of video showing the sledders coming down

That looks like a blast! And what a beautiful scene. I miss snow. :-)
If you ever find yourself in Texas I could show y'all non-snow activities... lol.
And you have a gorgeous family Devon.
