Milt and the kids gave me a great 30th birthday this year! I had the flu and had a temperature of 103, plus two sick little kids, so the best present came when Milt surprised me by taking the day off of work to help! So instead of dealing with all the coughing and medicine and cleaning while feeling terrible all day, I actually got to take a long hot bath and read, and then spend as long as I wanted getting ready. It was perfect! It was a pretty low-key birthday, but we had a fun time. I got some great presents and got to eat some Zwahlen's caramel apples (which might just be my birthday tradition from now on), and they were wonderful. The only thing better for the day would have been if I had been well, so I'll try that next year.
Thank you everyone who called and left me messages. I actually could barely talk without coughing and my throat hurting, so I didn't do much phone call returning, but I appreciated the thoughts and messages so much! I have great friends and family!
