Well, it has been quite the Halloween week here at our house! We have been down and out with the Flu (mostly just Maddox and I still have it), so we tried to have a very easy and low-key Halloween tonight.
McKinley decided that she wanted to be Mary Poppins in her Jolly Holiday dress for Halloween this year, which was not the easiest costume to find! (Thank you eBay!) She was THRILLED with it though, but she isn't very happy that after tonight we are packing it up to save for Kennedy to wear in a few years, rather than putting it in the dress-up bin.

Kennedy was very pleased to be Cinderella. She REALLY became the part, and she kept twirling around and was very happy with the whole costume.

And we got this Superman costume last minute for Maddox this year, who loves being "SuperMaddox"! He didn't feel very good tonight, but once he got the costume on he seemed much better!

Here are the three kids getting ready to go Trick-or-Treating!

Earlier in the week we had our church Halloween party, but unfortunately that was the day that Kennedy came down with the flu, and she didn't even WANT to dress up (but she did want a picture of herself when she saw me taking pics of the other kids!) Doesn't she look so sad and pathetic? She was not a happy girl that night!
We hadn't really gotten Maddox a costume yet, so we dressed him up as a mini-Milt, which was pretty funny! Milt actually even has the same t-shirt, plus then you add blue basketball shorts, a hat, and sneakers, and you have Milt's outfit of choice!

In the end, only McKinley and I went to the church party, but we still had a lot of fun. McKinley even won an award for "Awesome-est" costume at the party, which she was very excited about.
Here is a picture of the "Witches Fingers" Shortbread Cookies I made for the party (I even won a prize for them, which made McKinley more proud of me than she has probably ever been before...she was extremely excited about that I got a RIBBON!)
And here is McKinley's school Halloween Parade. The whole family got to come see McKinley (while coughing...at least it was outdoors!) It was so fun to see all the fun costumes people come up with!

I'm proud of your fingers, too! McKinley's dress is amazing- what a clever character to be:) And that cinderella dress is so elaborate, how fun!
And a happy, happy b-day to you. Hope it was a happy day for you- despite the flu. Yuck.
I'm proud that you have this post up already! You should get a prize for the most timely Halloween post. Those fingers look amazing! I'll have to try them next year. Your kids look adorable! I loved the mini milt.
The kids looked great in their costumes, and those cookies look great.
The kids are so adorable! Congrats on two ribbons at the church party...way to go! Happy Late B-day...I did think about you and wished you lived closer so that we could see you!
That Mary Poppins dress is magically marvelous! What a cool kid to want to be that for Halloween (and a cool mom for making it happen!) Loved your witches fingers, too--super grotesque and fuN! You're just the coolest and we miss you around here. Hope you guys are all better now!
I love McKinley's costume. It is supercalafragalisticexpialidocious. The Cinderella is pretty darn cute as well, and Maddox makes an adorable Superman. Glad you are all feeling better!
Those fingers look disgustingly amazing!
Those witch fingers are the creepiest cookies I've ever seen!
