Father's Day - Jedi Style

Since our Easter ended up being Star Wars themed, it's only right that we now got to have a Star Wars Father's Day too!  It started out with making Milt some Star Wars Pancakes, which turned out great and were really fun.  These are going to be a big hit in our family from here on out, and I think it's always going to be funny to hear Kennedy ask if she can eat a "Master Yoda" pancake.  Yes, she calls him Master Yoda. These girls are just so into anything their Daddy is that it's scary!

Right after the pancakes we let Milt open one other present that sort of went with the pancakes, and that was his Star Wars cookie cutters.  They are awesome!  We will definitely post pictures when we make some our Darth Vader, Yoda, Boba Fett, and Stormtrooper shaped cookies.

Unfortunately, Maddox was a little jealous that Daddy got all the cool Star Wars stuff instead of him, so he appropriated the cookie cutters and ran around hoarding them for most of the day, screaming if it looked like someone was going to take them away.  It's pretty funny when your son and your husband have the same taste in gifts! (Please just ignore the fabulously organized and distracting pantry in the background.  I've organized it once, and  I'm planning to organize it again only once the kids have all left for college and will stop pulling everything off the shelves and messing it up).

And here is a picture of me (once I caught him) trying to cajole the cookie cutters from his prying grasp.  It didn't work.

After dinner we let Milt open the rest of his presents, which included a Star Wars T-shirt, a Star Wars colored picture from Kennedy, and this little Star Wars Fandex that has info on all the Star Wars characters (with pictures).  Here is a photo of all the kids being completely mesmerized by Milt reading it to them all -- they were  in some sort of Jedi Trance.

And then Milt got some kisses from his two little girl Star-Wars fans (Kennedy didn't quite catch on to the "photo-kiss" hold, as you can tell, so Milt had to assist her!)

Maddox of course had to get a chance too, which Milt LOVED (and you can see that Maddox is STILL holding the cookie cutters)!

Happy Father's Day to all the Grandpas and Dads out there!  We hope you had a great day, and we love and miss you all!

I just got those and the cookie cutters for a future birthday party for Zach. Milt is such a kid at heart. Or you are a pretty cool wife...probably both. Miss you.
